Will the JPGs be bigger than the AVIFs?

Usually, yes — often by a factor of two or more. That is the trade you are making: AVIF is the more efficient format, and JPG is the one everything can open. If size matters more than compatibility, keep the AVIFs.

What happens to transparency?

JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent areas are flattened. If your AVIFs have transparency you want to keep, use the AVIF to PNG converter instead.

How many files can I convert at once?
